The Glacier Express- Switzerland

 Hi,
Finally I have managed to put this post together its a long post but I hope you enjoy the adventure.
In June we went on a coach tour and this was the day trip on the Glacier Express in Switzerland,  Above and the first three photos are of Chur,   which is the oldest town in Switzerland, with a history of settlement spanning 5,000 years approx.,  this is the shopping pedestrian area in the middle of Chur.
The Glacier Express is the slowest express train in the world and is what they say is indisputably on of the most beautiful stretches of railway in the world,  linking the famous holiday resorts of St Moritz/Davos and Zermatt.  I will leave to view the photos enjoy

Here we go this is just a small section of photos taken,  of the journey, from Chur to St Moritz.  It was a lovely day with the sun shinning as we journey through the mountains.
You will see the train in some of the photos in front as we go around the bends,. So sit back and enjoy pictures of Switzerland
You will also see a refection of a lady sat opposite her name is Janet and she lives in Australia and was here staying with her brother in law. they were great fun and hoping to meet up before she goes back to Australia.

In this picture down in the left hand side is our tour manager Alex.

Another picture of the train

This is a biscuit that was given to us with a drink on the train,  I still have not had mine, so I took a picture of it for you.   On the picture you can see the biscuit pattern which was on the biscuit.

I hope you enjoyed this journey,  there's more on holiday to come.

Hugs
Margaret

  5. As a teen I traveled by train across the Rocky Mountains to visit my older sister. It reminds me of that trip. I doubt that I'll ever get to Switzerland so very thankful you shared your adventure.
