Update on Project

Hi,

Hopefully its a beautiful day where ever you are,   I have scheduled this post as I am hopefully sitting by the pool enjoying some sun,    the weather forecast is hotter than normal yay I could do with my vitamin D topping up.
This is the project I am working on at the moment,   no one guessed what it is last time I showed how far I had got,  but as this has been on craftree I better tell you I am making a collar for one of my winter dresses,  the rhinestones are falling off and I thought I would refresh the dress with a collar.  Its a pattern from JS  book Tatted Treasures Page 78,  I am using Lizbeth thread No 20 in white.
I am working the split rings and the first row of the pattern together so I can get the right size and then there is another row to add to the top,  This is a pattern that split rings are very much in demand on the base row,  lucky I do not mind a split ring, like all JS patterns it has its moments.

Cd Sunday Challenge - Sun or, Sea or Sand

Hi,
Another CD Sunday Challenge,  this fortnight its Wynn's turn to pick the challenge and shes picked Sun or Sea or Sand.  For this challenge I went for  the Sea.
I used Something for everyone CD by La Pashe for the image and the backing paper is Joanna Sheens CD The Pamela West collection.  I matted the image onto silver glitter card,  used peel off dolphins and a gingham ribbon.  with a happy birthday in silver peel offs.  Just a simple card for this challenge this time.
I hope you will visit the CD Sunday Challenge site, and remember if you want to enter the challenge you must use something from a CD no matter how small and let us know which CD you used.  Here is a link to CD Sunday Challenge blog  we would be pleased to see you.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend

Royal Wave

Hi,

I expect you thought it was something else I was going to write about when you saw the heading,  just my bit of fun.   Above is an Ice Drop Pendant made from the pattern Spring Garden Ice drop by Diana.  link to her blog.   I made a small ring at the top for the ring and chain,  and the thread is called Royal wave by Lizbeth in no 20.

And in the same thread,  this is a spinning wheel mat pattern by Mary Konior,

I was using up the thread on my shuttles from the earrings I made for the pin chicks challenge,  Well I just got carried away and finished up with a mat as well,  time to change threads into another colour.

Beautiful weather today  long may it last.,

CD Sunday Challenge - Shabby Chic

 Hi,
Its CD Sunday challenge time again and this fortnight is Meg's turn to choose a challenge which is Shabby Chic
Before I say any more this is totally outside my comfort zone,  so I hope this card is a real shabby chic card.   I must thank Jane for her help and the rest of the team.
I used Debbie Moore's Shabby Chic CD Enchanted Garden for the images and the backing paper,  I did ink around the images and the card which I matted the images on,  there is two strips of ribbon under the bottom lace which unfortunately don't show up much but they are there,  the lace and the flowers in the spray all came from a magazine but I can't remember which one as it was a while ago,  I added pearls and two die cut butterflies.
